About Our Houston AC Repair Team

What AC Repair Houston is

AC Repair Houston is a dispatch service for air conditioning and HVAC repair in Greater Houston. When you call, we route you to an independent, Texas-licensed HVAC contractor serving your area, and that contractor diagnoses, prices and performs the work. We exist because finding a trustworthy HVAC company in Houston is harder than it should be — the top of the search results is dominated by directories and aggregators — and because a focused, repair-only service can answer the phone faster and quote more honestly than a company whose business model depends on selling replacements.

Who does the work

All field work is performed by independent contractors holding a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Air Conditioning and Refrigeration contractor license — the license Texas law requires for this trade. You can verify any TDLR license free on the state's public license search, and we encourage you to ask for the servicing contractor's name and license number when you book. Partner contractors carry liability insurance as required for their license class. Refrigerant handling is performed by technicians holding EPA Section 608 certification, as federal law requires.

The rules we hold ourselves to

• No invented reviews or ratings. You will find no testimonials on this site, because we will not publish reviews we cannot link to their source. Ask for the servicing contractor's Google or BBB profile and read the real thing there.
• No fake credentials. We publish a TDLR license number only when the licensed partner has agreed to have it published, and never anyone else's.
• Honest hours. The line is answered 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM CT, 7 days a week. We do not print "24/7" on the site because we do not staff 24/7 dispatch.
• Real prices with sources. Every price range on this site comes with its source and the date it was collected, and every page says the same thing: the exact price is confirmed after diagnosis, before work starts.
• No scare selling. A cracked heat exchanger means shutdown — that one is real. Most other "you need a new system today" claims deserve a second opinion, and we will tell you when they do.
